There are three ways that you can initiate a web conference call within your browser, with the option of having video active. First of all, be sure that you have your webcam and headset connected, (you can use the internal speakers and microphone from your computer, but the quality is generally better with a headset).
**Please note that our Video service is optimized for Google Chrome. Currently Video calling is not available on smart phone or tablet devices.**
1. START NOW
On the home page of your account click "Start now" to initiate an on-demand conference call to begin right away.
At the prompt, select "Internet" to start the session. The first time you call in you will be prompted to "allow" your system to access your webcam and microphone.
The first caller in a video conference will hear hold music. Once another caller arrives this music will stop and you will hear each other.
Note that your webcam — and the webcams of any other web-based participants — will be OFF by default. You’ll have to click on the Video button in the toolbar at the top in order to activate your webcam. Participants would do the same to activate their own webcams, where applicable.
If you have scheduled your conference, you can log in to your account at the planned start time and click on 'Start' or 'Conference call in progress' to access your video conference.
You may also join your scheduled video conference call from within the 'Upcoming' calls section (see below).
3. UNIQUE URL
An on-demand video conference call can also be initiated by pasting your unique conference URL into your web browser. If you are not already logged into your account, you will be prompted to log in once the link has been opened in your browser.
This link can be found at the top of your account Home page. Simply click on the 'Copy call information' button to add this information to your clipboard. You can also then paste this into an email or text message to send to participants.
