Voicemail transcription automatically converts your voicemail recordings into text and creates a short, AI-generated summary of each message. This lets you understand who called and what they need. Then you can decide how to respond without listening to the full recording.

For each supported voicemail, the system provides:

  • A short summary of the message
  • Action items, when the message contains any
  • The full text transcript of the recording

Where to find your voicemails

Open the Calls screen and select the Voicemails tab. A badge on the tab shows how many new voicemails you have. Voicemails also appear in the Recents tab, alongside your other call history, with a voicemail icon and a short preview of the summary.

Reviewing a voicemail

Each entry in the Voicemails tab shows the caller's number, the date and time the message was left, and its duration. A status label indicates whether the voicemail is New or Saved.

Select a voicemail to expand it. Once expanded, you'll see:

  • The AI-generated summary of the message
  • A player to listen to the recording
  • Quick actions to open the full details, call the number back, save the voicemail, or delete it

On smaller screens, the quick actions other than Call are grouped into a menu to save space.

Filtering your voicemails

Use the filter at the top of the Voicemails tab to control which messages are shown:

  • New — voicemails you haven't saved yet
  • Saved — voicemails you've chosen to keep
  • All — both new and saved voicemails (deleted messages in the trash are not shown)

Opening the full transcript and details

To see everything the system captured about a message, open its full details — either from the Voicemails tab or by selecting the voicemail in the Recents tab. The details view includes:

  • The recording, with a player
  • The complete transcript of the message
  • Overview — the short summary and key topics
  • Detailed Summary — a fuller breakdown of the message
  • Action Items — tasks or follow-ups detected in the message

The details view may also show additional insights, such as the overall tone (sentiment) of the message and the main topics mentioned.
