When a phone call is recorded, the system automatically converts the recording into text and creates a meeting-style summary of the conversation. This lets you quickly see what a call was about — and review it in depth when needed — without replaying the entire recording.
For each supported recorded call, the system provides:
- A short summary of the conversation
- Action items, when the call contains any
- The full text transcript of the recording
- Additional insights such as sentiment and key topics
Note: Recorded call transcription and summaries may not be available on every account. Availability depends on your plan and settings; contact your administrator if you don't see these features.
Where to find recorded calls
Recorded calls appear in the Recents tab on the Calls screen, alongside your other call history. A recorded call is marked with a REC indicator so you can identify it at a glance.
Reviewing a recorded call from Recents
Each recorded call in the Recents list shows the contact or number, the date and time, and the call length. Below this, you'll see the beginning of the AI-generated summary, so you can get the gist of the call directly from the list.
Opening the full summary and transcript
Select a recorded call (or pop it out) to open its dedicated summary page. This page includes:
- The recording, with a player
- The complete transcript of the conversation
- Overview — the short summary and key topics
- Detailed Summary — a fuller breakdown of the conversation
- Action Items — tasks or follow-ups detected in the call
The summary page will also show the overall tone (sentiment) of the call.
