While you're on a phone call, you can move the conversation into a video call without hanging up and dialing again. During an active call, tap the menu on your dialpad and select Switch to Video. What happens next depends on whether the other person is using the app or is on a regular phone number.

Note: This feature may not be available on every account, and the Switch to Video button may not appear in every call. Availability depends on your plan and settings; contact your administrator if you don't see it.

If the other person is a host in the same company

When the other party is signed in to the app, they receive an in-app request to join video, shown over their call screen with Accept and Decline options. Your phone call keeps running while they decide, so there's no interruption during the wait.

• If they accept — you both move into a video call, and the phone call ends automatically.
• If they decline, don't respond within about 30 seconds, or if you cancel — you return to the original phone call, right where you left off.

If the other person is on a regular phone number

When the other party is a plain phone number with no app, you'll be asked to confirm before anything is sent:

• You'll see a prompt asking whether to send a video meeting link by text message (SMS) to that number. Nothing is sent until you confirm.
• Once you confirm, the other person receives a text with a link. They can tap it to join from their web browser as a guest — no app or account required.
• When they join, you both connect on video and the phone call ends.
